In Italy, entry for work is governed by immigration legislation, which provides for a series of requirements and procedures to be followed in order to enter and work legally in the country. However, there are special situations in which it is possible to enter Italy for work purposes without being subject to the regime of annual entry quotas.
These are special categories of workers who, given the peculiar nature of their services, can enter the national territory outside the quotas established annually by the Government through the flow decree. In these cases, the work authorization may not be necessary, or it can be replaced by another type of fulfilment, or it can be issued with simplified methods and terms.
